Competition Rules
1. The rules to be used are "Battlegroup" for 1/300th models and the latest version is available from the BGMR Group. Player should also get a copy of the detailed format from the BGMR Group. See http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/BGMR/ , they are also available for download here.
2. The Army Lists for this year's competition are for the period of Central Europe in 1986. They are also available from the BGMR Group. They vary from 600 to 1400 points, see details document on the group for more info.
3. Army lists may be chosen from any approved list and must not exceed the total point for each game. Once an army list has been submitted it may not be changed or altered other than to correct any errors. Players may only correct their errors by making reasonable changes to their list. It is not allowed to completely re-write the list, and the list checkers decision on this is final.
4. Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received by the List Checker not later than 3 weeks before the event. A penalty of 2 victory points per round, for each round of the competition other than the final round may be imposed for late submission of lists. Any incorrect list discovered after a game has commenced (after the first dice for any purpose has been rolled) must be corrected prior to the next match.
5. Any player who would like to take part but does not have the correct figures should contact the Period Umpire to see what figures are available from other players.

Thus a player cannot be matched against his/her spouse, parent, brother, sister, and/or child.
8. Table size is 6' x 4'. The Organisers will supply each player with a map of the terrain board they will playing on.
9. Players must be present and ready to start the match at the appointed time. Where a player has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 30 minutes. After which time the effected player will be awarded a bye and score the average score of the winning players in that round. No player will be awarded more than one bye for any reason.
10. Whilst it is not possible to set a minimum number of turns, every player must make every endeavour to play in a timely fashion. Deployment (including all pre-game preparations) should not exceed 30 mins.
11. If a player resigns from a game at any stage, after the first dice for any purpose has been rolled, their opponents will be awarded 32 points.
12. Games will continue until the end of the player who went 2 nd at the start of the game turn in the current pair of bounds when time is called. Time will be called after 3¼ hours plus a 1 -15 minute random factor. The random factor will be determined by the umpire prior to the start of the round and will not be announcement is made.
