Warhammer English Civil War Rules

Rules

This is the fourth year of the event, and is a competitive and fun group of individuals who play with a passion and great knowledge of the period. So why don’t you join them for six fun games, and test your leadership.  The event will be over 3 days, and involve 6 games. Each player should attend with a fully painted 1642 point army taken from the lists available in the Warhammer English Civil War publication.

The amendments posted on the WPS web site www.player-society.com will be in use.

All players are asked to send a copy of their army list to Madasaskaven@aol.com  before the 31st of July 2005 for checking and validity. On the days of the event players should ensure they have a legible copy of their army list and any templates or special rules for specific units to hand.

No special characters will be allowed.

Game 1 will be Hidden deployment where a screen is placed across the battle field and the troops are deployed on your side, and obviously your opponent does not know what you’ve placed or where.

Game 2 will be pitched battle. Page 89

Game 3 will be meeting engagement Page 89

Game 4 will be surprise attack Page 90

Game 5 will be pitched battle Page 89

Game 6 will be hidden deployment as above.

Remember how you play the rules may not be how others interpret them so be prepared to find you may be wrong or common ground may have to be found. After all the rules can’t cover every eventuality.

Over the last 4 years the players have enjoyed a great time and some outstanding battles. So pick up your banner, and lead your troops in to the fray. I look forward to meeting friends old and new at this year’s event.

Score sheets shall be completed, including your delegate number, signed and handed in within 10 minutes of the finish time.

Admission to the tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers and their decision on all matters is final. An application to enter denotes acceptance of the rules. Entry fees and any queries to be addressed to the BHGS, The White Cottage, 8 Westhill Ave, Epsom, KT19 8LE. Tel. 01372  812132.  Fax.
