ARMY COMPOSITION

Only armies from the fifteen army books published may be chosen and in accordance
with the main rules, but with the restrictions listed below.

A maximum of  2,800 points is allowed.

No named or special characters may be taken.

A maximum of  80 shooters may be taken (thrown weapons do not count).
Any shooting weapon which is not hand-held  will count as 5 shooters.  This will
include Dragons ,weapon teams,etc.

FIGURES

Where possible WYSIWYG is to be used. Figures should be painted with at least
three colours and based, bases should be at least flocked.
 TERRAIN

Each player must bring along there own terrain, you will need four pieces. And must
use three different pieces of terrain from the following list:- Hill, Wood or Forest,
Single level Building, Obstacle, Broken or Difficult ground, Marsh, Rocky ground
or a Ruined Building. The fourth piece can be the same type as one of your
first three if you so wish.

In all cases the whole footprint of the terrain piece counts for that type of terrain.

TERRAIN SIZES

The maximum size of any terrain piece is 12”x 12”, the minimum size of a piece is
6”x 4”. Only one piece of terrain can be the minimum size. For Obstacles the size is
no shorter than 6”and no longer than 12”.
PLACING TERRIAN

Both players place onto the table there three different pieces of terrain, they then roll
1D6 (re-roll ties). The player with the highest score places the first piece from the six
available, then his/her opponent places the next piece. Players alternate in placing
pieces until all six have been placed. If you then wish to place your fourth piece of
terrain you must first roll a D6, on a score of a 4+ it can be placed on the table. Both
players must do this if they want there fourth piece to be placed. This means that each
table will have between 6 to 8 pieces of terrain on it.

No piece of terrain may initially be placed:-

within 3” of any table edge

in the centre 6” x 6” of the table (a piece of card or a dice can be placed onto
the table to measure this.

Within 3” of a piece of terrain which has already been placed on the table.

After initial placement terrain can scatter into these areas as described below.

Starting from one end of the table make scatter and distance rolls for each piece of
terrain :- using a scatter dice and distance = 3D6. The terrain piece moves the rolled
distance in the direction of the arrow on the scatter dice. If the terrain piece contacts
another piece of terrain or a table edge it will bounce back along its path until the full
distance has been moved. A roll of a hit on the scatter dice will mean that the terrain
piece will not scatter (move), but will stay where it was initially placed.

For Obstacles roll only the scatter dice. The arrow (including the small arrow on the
hit) is the direction this piece of terrain will face.

After the first game please leave the terrain on the table, this is now set for the rest of
the competition.

OPPONENTS

Where possible no player will play the same person twice or ( in the first round) any
players from the same club etc. After the first round games will be on the “ Swiss

one army break the Fortitude of the other the game will end, and  that player will
get 1,500 points. Count up points for both players, then add these on should one

NOTES

References to the controlling player means the player whose turn it is.

Terrain cannot normally be moved by players, except Wood Elves who can move woods
during a game ( If they do so please remember to place it back where it started
from before leaving your table ).

Please leave your armies out nicely displayed on Sunday dinner time for checking.

Do not use fillers as figures, it makes it unfair to other players who have painted all of theirs.
They may well be removed from play.

The umpires decisions are final.

If you have seen any mistakes please let me now, they can creep in without notice.

Now for the most important thing :- do remember to read through this rule pack very
carefully, somethings have changed to fit in with the britcon scoring system. Leave
nothing at home, bring all your dice, tapes , army lists, rules etc. But most of all come
along and have fun.
