15mm FoG R COMPETITION RULES

  1. The rules and army lists to be used are Field of Glory Renaissance as published.  Clarifications published on the official web site may be used at the organisers’ discretion.
  2. The permitted Army Lists

    The competition for 2012 will be themed based on The House of Romanov 26/7/1613-31/12/1699.
    The following are allowed lists
    CLASH OF EMPIRES
    Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth,Early Russian,Vasa Swedish,Cossacks,Tatar,Caucasian State,
    Later Ottoman Turkish
    DUTY AND GLORY
    Later Danish,Later Swedish,Later German States Hapsburg Austrian Imperial,Later Polish Lithuanian,
    Later Russian,Venetian Colonial,Hungarian Kunic Rebellion.
    COLONIES AND CONQUEST
    Qing.Korean

      The list submitted must not exceed 900 points specified.
  3. Army lists must specify the number and size of battle groups and their order of deployment, and the number and type of commanders chosen. They should also include the territory list for the army. Once an army list has been submitted it may not be changed or altered other than to correct any errors. Players may only correct their errors by making reasonable changes to their list. It is not allowed to completely re-write the list, and the list checkers decision on this is final.   4. Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received by the List Checker not later than two weeks before the event. A penalty may be imposed for late submission of lists. Any incorrect list discovered at the venue must be corrected prior to the next match.

  1. Players must fully define their troops as they are placed on table.  Figures must provide a reasonably accurate representation of the troops they are trying to represent – they must not look deliberately misleading.
  2. Table size is 6' x 4' and players must supply their own terrain pieces. These must be to an acceptable standard, and umpires will have the discretion to remove unsightly items.
  3. Each Player must command, move and be responsible for at least 30% of the BGs in the army.
  4. To speed game play, players may only control BGs that are adjacent i.e. each player must operate at his/her end of the table.  Control of BGs may therefore change during the course of the game.
  5. Teams must be present and ready to start the match at the appointed time. Where a team has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 30 minutes. After which time the effected team will be awarded a bye and 25 points. No team will be awarded more than one bye for any reason.
  6. If a team resigns from a game at any stage after the first set up dice have been rolled their opponents will be awarded 25 points, In the case of an odd number of teams, either one team will play as singles or an umpire team will fill in .
  7. When time is called, play will continue until the when time is called play will finish on the current phase, such that both players will have had an equal number of turns.  Play will stop immediately before the a joint action phase following this.
  8. The event will be adjudicated by player umpires.
  9. A modified Swiss Chess system will operate throughout the competition. 
  10. The timetable for each venue unless specifically notified is as follows;

Registration 8-45am-9-15am
Saturday 1st round 9-15am-12-30pm.
                2nd round 2-00pm-5-15pm
Sunday    3rd round  9-00am-12-15pm
                4th round  1-45pm-5-00pm



Admission to the tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers and their decision on all matters is final. An application to enter denotes acceptance of these rules.
